Explore the rainforest, and discover its wonders for yourself.

On your visit, look out for free roaming lizards, birds and butterflies - you never know where they will appear next! See some of the world's most popular foods, from bananas to coffee, cocoa and ginger... as well as plants that have changed the way we live today. Plus... monkeys, a crocodile and much more.

Location and directions
Map of local area The Living Rainforest is approximately 45 minutes from west London, 1 hour from Bristol and 30 minutes from Oxford. You can follow brown tourist signs from M4 Junction 13, which is just 10-15 minutes' drive away.

A bus service from Newbury operates direct to the centre six days a week, and from Pangbourne five days a week. Find out more about visiting us by public transport.

Animal adoptions for schools
Schools can adopt animals too! This is a great way to learn more about the rainforest and its animals. A schools adoption costs £40.00, and your class will receive:
  • An adoption pack, with a photo, information sheet about your adopted animal and the animal department at The Living Rainforest
  • A signed adoption certificate
  • Your school name displayed at The Living Rainforest
  • Free tickets for all children in the class to visit with a parent/guardian (to admit one child with a paying adult).

If you'd like to adopt an animal with your class, please contact us
