2015 essay competition focuses on education for a sustainable future

The Trust for Sustainable Living is pleased to announce that the theme of its 5th Annual International Schools Essay Competition is the future of sustainability education.

The competition, which last year welcomed the participation of schools from 73 countries, is inviting schoolchildren around the world to imagine what education for a sustainable future could look like.

The Grand Prize is an amazing trip for up to three people to attend the 2015 Schools Debates, which will be held in the UK.

For the first time, the Trust is also launching a new international contest, the Schools Sustainability Challenge, inviting schools to submit short videos featuring their best sustainability projects.

The deadline for both contests is 23rd January 2015. For further details, including instructions on how register, visit the  Essay Competition and Schools Sustainability Challenge web pages.

The Centre for Human Rights and Climate Research has Young Researcher Project implemented in selected school. Our young Researcher are from different schools and will like to participate in the essay competition.

Can they be entered in the competition and championed by our project staff?

  2. Karl Hansen says:

Yes they can – a member of your Centre simply needs to register as the Teacher Champion. Best of luck!
