Half-term fun

Whether you like plants or animals, it’s all happening at the Living Rainforest, with daily events organised to help visitors get the most from their rainforest visit.

Large crowds are expected once again at the rainforest eco-centre in Hampstead Norreys, Berkshire, drawn by tropical warmth and the chance to see over 700 plant and animal species in a naturalistic environment.

Special free events include talks by animal keepers and plant enthusiasts, and workshops for children to make rainforest bookmarks, gift tags, leaf rubbings and  ‘frog origami’. Extra wildlife interpreters will be available to help visitors get the most fromAzare's Agouti their visit. For full events listings, see our website events page. Many of the events will have a seasonal Halloween theme.

The rainforest houses look lush and colourful right now, with spooky Bat Plants in bloom (rather appropriately for Halloween!) and teeming birdlife.
