Spider Hunter invades the rainforest

Spider expert and explorer Martin Nicholas will present a workshop on Arachnids on Sunday 24th November 2002 at The Living Rainforest.

This promises to be a really exciting event, exploding some of the myths surrounding these misunderstood creatures. Visitors will get the chance to see some of Martin’s rare and unusual collection of spiders, including a young Chicken spider – a legendary species that Martin tracked to a remote region of Peru earlier this year.

Martin will talk about this expedition and much, much more. “The world of spiders is one of sex, violence and intrigue,” he said, “and once people can understand why these creatures are the way they are they become less frightening and even more intriguing.”

The event starts at 2.30pm, and is included in the normal admission price.
