Hosted in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from April 18th  to April 19th, the 5th International TSL Schools Debates featured students from more than 50 institutions around the world.

Karl Hansen, Executive Director of the Trust for Sustainable Living, said:

“As more than two-thirds of the global population are expected to live in cities by 2050, it’s important that we all consider their future development.  However, with so few real-life examples of sustainable cities working today, it begs the question ‘Are Sustainable Cities Possible?’.  The topic resonated with the students competing during the debates earlier this week, which culminated in some extremely well argued group debating sessions at the end of both days.”
