The Living Rainforest launches ‘Quotation Quest’

The Living Rainforest, funded by the Re-Discover project and the European Community, is calling for people to submit their favourite quotations and become a lasting part of its Human Impact project.

The ‘Quotation Quest’ competition aims to find the most inspiring and thought provoking quotes to be featured in a video presentation in the new Human Impact exhibition. To kick-start the competition, staff have chosen their favourite quotes including, “You must be the change you wish to see in the world,” by Mahatma Gandhi.

The competition is open to anybody and is split into two categories, under and over 18s. Quotations can be serious or humorous. Visitors to The Living Rainforest’s website can gain inspiration before submitting their quotes. The best ones will be included in the video.

“The Human Impact project looks at the effect our species has on rainforests and the planet,” said Karl Hansen, director of The Living Rainforest. “Our new building will give visitors a much-needed space to stand back and consider our impacts and responsibilities as a species. This competition is a way of opening up the debate and allowing adults and children to contribute creatively to the project.”
