Animal Management

The newest edition to The Living Rainforest’s ever developing education program! This course is designed for the college or university student wishing to progress into the exciting world of animal management and care. The students will join The Living Rainforest’s experienced team of animal keepers for a day’s worth of essential learning outcomes for exotic animal care. Students will have the chance to get involved with the general day to day maintenance of the animals (enrichment, cleaning and feeding), critique animal enclosures and take part in a discussion on animal nutrition.

The Living Rainforest provides students with a unique opportunity to come into close contact with exotic animals such as monkeys, stingrays and exotic birds like our toucans, all of which can be found in few other teaching collections, whilst always being in the capable hands of our keeper team.

The course links into many topics key to various animal management courses at both A Level and Degree Level, such as:

  • Animal Health
  • Safety Around Exotic Animals
  • Animal Handling
  • Feeding and Monitoring
  • Enclosure Design and Maintenance

The Animal Management course at The Living Rainforest costs just £80 plus VAT (£96), includes up to 5 students taking part in a day’s worth of activities. Up to 15 students can be booked on a single day (i.e. 3 groups each with their own keeper).
