Paul Maiteny is a psychotherapist, anthropologist and ecologist who has worked in ecological education for 25 years in a variety of roles and contexts. He teaches and writes for the MSc Education for Sustainability at London South Bank University, and has taught and conducted research at Oxford and the Open University on human ecology, organizations and systemic thinking. He is in private practice as a psychotherapist, and conducts therapeutic group-work with torture-victims. He is engaged in research into the psycho-emotional and cultural causes of ecological and social breakdown, and the implications of this for psychotherapeutic treatment and sustainable living.
