A Summer of Ideas for Kids and Families

The Living Rainforest is bursting at the seams with activities for children and families to enjoy this summer.

Ever been challenged by Mini Beasts? Painted a Rainforest Mural? Or taken a Rainforest Tour?

Ever printed your own T-shirt Design? Made Butterfly Wings? Or written a promise on a Banana Skin?

These are just some of the wide range of fun – and mostly free – rainforest-related activities for visitors to do this summer. Come rain or shine, the rainforest eco-centre in Hampstead Norreys, Berkshire is offering excellent value-for-money activities for families during this credit-crunched summer.

“Fun and excitement don’t have to cost the earth. And the Living Rainforest will prove that with the Summer of Ideas,” says Hannah McVey, education development officer.

Other highlights include:

  • Three ‘rainforest trails’
  • Daily animal talks
  • Craft workshops

To see a full list of activities, together with dates and times, visit the Living Rainforest website, To avoid disappointment, we recommend that visitors check the website before visiting.
