 Fish are fantastic!

Fish & Oceans Fortnight (8-21 August) will take visitors on a journey of discovery into the murky depths of modern fishing and threatened fish stocks, and what people can do to help conserve the marine environment.

Children will test their wits in the ‘Are You as Intelligent as a Fish?’ challenge, and explore marine conservation issues with experts from the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust.

Each day features a different programme of talks, workshops and activities, carefully devised by the Living Rainforest’s professional staff to share their passion for nature conservation with the visiting public.

In addition to daily talks led by conservation experts, ‘Fish & Oceans Fortnight’ includes daily children’s activities, crafts and games such as Make a Rock Pool Viewer, Sparkly Fish and Design-a-label.

Each visitor attending an Explore Conservation summer event is also be eligible to enter a Special Prize Draw with the chance to win a ‘Keeper Encounter’ at the Living Rainforest, worth £80.

Visitors to the Living Rainforest pay once and receive an Annual Ticket. Explore Conservation summer events are free-of-charge with normal admission, so summer at the Living Rainforest is both fun and affordable.
