Fuel for thought

Wood fuel heating, using wood sourced from well-managed woodland, is one way of helping to reduce the impact of climate change and save on energy bills.

Landowners, farmers, architects, planners and developers from across the South will learn about its capabilities and witness a wood boiler in action at The Living Rainforest, Hampstead Norreys.

The event is being organised by the Natural Light Partnership, with partners including Hampshire County Council, the North Wessex Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, West Sussex County Council, East Hampshire District Council, Chichester District Council, South Downs Joint Committee and the Forestry Commission.

Workshop sessions are available on 8 March 2007 from 10am until 12pm, or from 2pm until 4pm. The wood energy event is free of charge. However reservations must be booked with Linda Glynn via email on or by telephoning (01962) 772030.
