October half-term fun at the Rainforest

This half-term (October 23-31) there will be LOTS on at the Living Rainforest for families, children and adults to enjoy – including tours, talks and workshops, plus a Halloween activity trail to help visitors get the most from their visit.

Have a look at what’s on, when – check out our online Events Calendar.

Highlights in the tropical rainforest houses this October include our new Red-Crested Turaco Aviary and Hawaiian Invasive Species exhibit in the Lowland Tropical House. We’re really proud of these new additions, which were created by our dedicated animal, plant and maintenance teams, and ably aided by a small army of  wonderful volunteers.

On the plant side, there are lots of new insect-eating Pitcher Plants, Orchids and Bromeliads. The Rangoon Creeper is also blooming while creeping around the small pond in Amazonica House!

This half-term, escape to the tropical warmth and splendour of The Living Rainforest, right here at your doorstep in southern England.

We hope to see you soon!
